The EE Magazine promotes energy efficiency by compiling short articles from renowned international energy experts, showcasing the latest innovations and achievements in this sector. The EE Magazine has been issued since COP22 in Marrakesh, and since then in every cop. The COP25 issue has been downloaded more than 8000 times by energy and environment experts and executives.
This year, articles will focus on the role of energy efficiency in COVID-19 economic stimulus programs, as well as the climate benefits of efficiency, with the IEA estimating that energy efficiency could provide more than 40% of the emissions abatement required by 2040 to be in line with the Paris Agreement (IEA, 2018).
The new digital format is released at the occasion of the New-York Climate Week, during a dedicated launch event, and will be now issued at every climate week, in addition to the annual issue during the COP.
All the issues of the Magazine are in partnership with the Organizing Committee of the climate weeks and the COP.
The 2020 edition is a special Energy Efficiency and Economic Recovery edition. Articles will focus on the critical role of energy efficiency in COVID-19 economic stimulus programs and recovery efforts, as well as the key role energy efficiency needs to play in achieving the Paris Agreement mitigation goals.
